  • The saddest thing I've EVER seen...

    cat
    more cat pictures

    :'(

    Am going to bed now.

    To cry....

  • Abortion bill amendment...

... to reduce the time limit has been defeated.

Wasn't even that close in the end.

    Will sleep better now :)

  • Big Eggo...

    Am v v v v v eggcited!

Have just ordered four ostrich eggs.

Am going to have fantastic egg party!

  • Today...

    ...has not started very well.

I got up bright and early (well, as early as I ever manage, anyway...)and leapt into the bath (shower too hot at the moment - must get something done about that!)
I happily scrubbed myself clean, leapt back out of the bath and started to put my contact lenses in...
While I was doing this, I felt a little bit odd, so I sat down to test my blood sugar levels, and by the time I'd got the little strip into the meter and found the spikey thing to make the blood, I could barely see any more, and definitely not stand up or anything...
Blood sugar v v v low - not good at all!
Managed to drag myself into the kitchen and find life-giving ribena and then sat around shivering and sweating for 20 minutes, before having breakfast-with-no-insulin and hurriedly flinging clothes on and running (as fast as little sugar deprived legs would carry me - which isn't very...) to station as v v late by that stage...
Then , to top all the general feelings of horribleness, my train took about three times as long as usual, so was really properly late for work by the time I arrived!

Still - am here now, and things going ok so far - feel pretty much human again (is weird how that happens - can feel like actually dying one minute and then be completely fine the next - whole blood-sugar thing is evidently quite sensitive...) and sweaty awfulness is fading ;)
Of course, danger now, is that, due to non-insulinity of breakfast, it all goes the other way and my levels get really high (more sweaty bad feelings), but I guess I'll deal with that when I get to it! Am armed with insulin and almond croissant in case of emergencies, so all things are good...

On the bright side, I bottled my ginger beer last night and it looks (and smells) totally great!
Have to leave it to bottle-ferment for a couple of days now (outside on balcony, as am little concerned about explosiveness) but will report back soon!

Hope everyone else is having nice day!
