I made strawberry jam (as fridge was full of on-the-turn strawberries)...
Am domestic goddess
As long as you don't mind mostly cakes and puddings ![]()
I DONT MIND!
Might buy some tomorrow and "forget" them (fat chance!) just so I can make some too. Am envious...xx
Normally, I'd be horrified at the idea of wasting something as fabulous as strawberries by making them into boring old jam, but Sainsburys man brought me a whole load of very early dated bargain 99p ones and the next day we went and 'picked-our-own', so there really was a glut...
And actually, quite average tasting berries have made really good jam
AND now I have excess jam sugar (with the added pectins), so will have to make some other manner of jam very soon ![]()
I made some jam a couple of weeks ago with last years raspberries because I found a huge tub of them in the freezer. Can't believe I forgot about them, but even though they were a year old the jam is absolutely lovely. But I do love jam. Toast and jam has saved my life on more than one occassion xx
Mmmm.....
Raspberries and, indeed, raspberry jam, are almost my favourite thing in all the world
I bow to your superior Goddessness ![]()
